I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California with 15 years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and take an empathetic approach to building strong client relationships, fostering personal growth, and promoting healing. My experience ranges from working with individuals facing severe mental health challenges to those navigating life events for the first time.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll take time to introduce ourselves and explore what has brought you to therapy. You'll have the opportunity to discuss any challenges you're facing and what you hope to gain from the process. I may also ask about your personal history, relationships, mental health background, and other relevant life experiences to better understand your situation.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals with severe mental illness, as well as those who simply need a compassionate listener to validate their experiences. My approach is collaborative, working alongside my clients to support their needs.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

The ideal client is someone who appreciates diverse perspectives and proactively experiments with new approaches to evaluate them. Embracing vulnerability is essential for growth and connection.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. The core idea behind CBT is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected, and changing negative thoughts can lead to changes in feelings and behaviors.

Narrative

In Narrative Therapy, I work with the individual to explore how they see themselves and the world, and how certain life events or challenges are framed within their personal narrative. The goal is to help people reframe or "rewrite" their stories in ways that empower them, giving them more control over their life and circumstances.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a type of therapy that focuses on finding solutions to current problems rather than delving deeply into past issues. It's a goal-oriented and future-focused approach that aims to help individuals quickly identify and build on their existing strengths and resources to address challenges.

Integrative

The main idea behind integrative therapy is that no single therapeutic approach is best for everyone. People are complex, and their challenges might require different strategies. By drawing from multiple therapeutic models, integrative therapy tailors the process to address the unique combination of emotional, psychological, and life circumstances a person is facing.
