Hello, my name is Tyisha B. Wright MA, LPC for the state of New Jersey. I am an African American therapist and has practice for the last four years. My tenor includes eighteen years within the mental health and DDD servicing individuals in Essex County, Morris County, Dover township ,and Union County service area. Four years as a LAC/LPC providing therapeutic services for family and children in Warren County. My impact with each population serviced is unique as each historical and cultural background are a persons story. I prefer to utilize Person Centered Therapy as well as utilize each Therapeutic theory as each client are unique. I’m consistent with addressing individuals basic needs, while focusing on the here and now, providing empathy, cultural awareness, and confidentiality.
In our first session clients will describe the purpose for therapeutic services. Clients will learn how to be present in the here and now and will establish attainable goals no matter how many increments in hopes to develop new ways to process thinking self. Client and Therapist will establish new coping methods to adjust from their worldview. Clients and Therapist process how to learn new value systems of self while utilizing Person Center theory.
My strength include excellent listening skills, effective communication, self awareness, trust worthiness, sense of humor, confidence, confidentiality, patience, acceptance, and the ability to problem solve.
I’m eclectic with all theory approaches. However, Person-centered theory is a useful treatment method in my practice as this approach focuses on personal growth and facilitates healthy relationships. This approach can identify self realization, reflection, in hopes to re-structure moods and ideal ways of thinking.
