Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana. I have over 20 years in the mental health field working in multiple roles serving clients and their families both in office and in home. I am clinically trained in art therapy and wish to support clients in their mental health journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will begin with introductions and the client sharing the specific problem areas they want to address. We will assess for any safety concerns and begin laying out a treatment plan that makes the client feel secure in their decision to seek treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have found over the years that being myself and encouraging the client to do the same, makes for the best road to rapport building and healthy communication that is clear for all. I love using humor and art to help clients feel at ease.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment method to assist clients with self-control training, community reinforcement, contingency management, behavioral contracting, and social skills training.

Couples Counseling

I will assist couples in moving away from blaming and shaming, focusing more on communication and connectivity.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I will use this form of treatment to emphasize learning and strengthen skills like emotional regulation, mindfulness, stimulus control and habit prevention.

Family Therapy

This form of treatment will be used to improve familial relationships, strengthen parenting skills and reduce stress within the home.

Grief Therapy

This treatment method will facilitate mourning and assist in reengaging the world. This will be accomplished by eliminating social isolation and refocusing on relationships and interests.
