New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. I specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting new and expecting mothers. As a parent who has supported my son through anxiety, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to create a safe, supportive, and understanding space for meaningful healing.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, your story, and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your goals, concerns, and background so I can better understand your needs. Together, we’ll begin creating a safe, supportive plan tailored to you, setting the foundation for growth, healing, and meaningful change.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy, while also specializing in perinatal mental health. My ability to connect with clients, share relatable experiences, and offer practical tools helps them build resilience, gain clarity, and create lasting change.
I work best with individuals and couples who are ready to grow, heal, and make meaningful changes in their lives. My ideal clients may be navigating anxiety, depression, perinatal or postpartum challenges, relationship struggles, or life transitions. They share a desire for support, new coping strategies, and a safe space to be heard.
I have extensive experience using CBT with adolescents and adults to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related concerns. In practice, I help clients recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and teach strategies to challenge negative thinking patterns, build healthier coping skills, and increase positive activities. I also incorporate structured exercises—such as journaling, mood tracking, and relaxation techniques—so clients can practice skills between sessions. My approach is flexible, adapting CBT tools to each client’s unique needs, whether managing anxiety through exposure and grounding or addressing depression with behavioral activation and reframing.
I use SFBT to help clients identify strengths, resources, and solutions rather than focusing solely on problems. My experience includes applying this method with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are seeking practical and goal-oriented support. In practice, I guide clients to define their goals, explore “exceptions” when the problem is less severe, and build on what is already working in their lives. I use scaling questions, miracle questions, and strengths-based techniques to foster hope and highlight progress. This approach is especially effective for clients who want short-term, focused treatment that emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and positive change.
I provide couples counseling to help partners improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen their relationship. My experience includes working with couples facing challenges such as infidelity, trust issues, family stress, and adjustment to life transitions. In practice, I use evidence-based approaches such as Gottman Method techniques, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral strategies to help couples identify negative interaction patterns, build empathy, and develop healthier ways to connect. I guide partners in practicing active listening, expressing needs respectfully, and rebuilding trust. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where couples can work toward mutual understanding, healing, and long-term growth.
I use ACT to help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult emotions, separate from unhelpful thoughts, and live in alignment with their values. My experience includes applying ACT with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. In practice, I guide clients through mindfulness exercises, values clarification, and cognitive defusion techniques to reduce the impact of negative thinking. I encourage clients to focus on committed actions that support their goals and well-being, even in the presence of discomfort. This approach empowers clients to build resilience, increase self-compassion, and create a more meaningful life.
I incorporate DBT techniques in my work with clients who struggle with intense emotions, relationship challenges, or difficulty managing distress. My experience includes using DBT with adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, mood instability, trauma, and self-destructive behaviors. In practice, I focus on the four DBT skill areas—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I help clients learn to identify and manage emotional triggers, use grounding and coping strategies in crisis moments, and communicate more effectively in relationships. By balancing acceptance with change, I guide clients toward greater stability, resilience, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
