About me

I'm a New York based therapist practicing for 17 years. I received my Masters in Psychology from Columbia University. I help adults struggling with managing general stress, difficulties with life changes, general anxiety, self care difficulties, career stress, and work burnout. My passion is to support clients with learning about themselves, pursuing life goals and learning how to cope with life in order to feel healthier and emotionally lighter. Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

1) First Intake Session & Consultation: In our first session we'll start with introductions, and I will begin to conduct my consultation and initial intake interview with you, so I can learn about your therapy goals and mental health symptoms, to clinically determine if I am the best fit therapist for your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

By working with adults through various life stages, I've developed a nurturing supportive nature, to help clients identify the causes of their challenges and create a customized plan that leads to progress. I provide an encouraging compassionate safe space for clients, genuinely listening, and sharing kind and challenging therapeutic feedback. I focus on clients strengths and action-oriented skill building, in order to support them with challenging themselves to foster growth in achieving their desired outcomes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients often seek therapy because they feel overwhelmed regarding everyday life, their interpersonal relationships and their careers. I am passionate about working with these populations including high-functioning adults, professionals, and college students between the ages 21-45. I have experience working with people from these business industries and populations: medical/healthcare, education, computer tech and data, government, white collar and blue collar, hybrid remote workers, women, parents, caregivers, newly weds, people of color, and Christians seeking flexibility to add faith based approaches when desired. I specifically provide weekly mental health therapy treatment to long term clients, that are strongly committed dedicated and fully invested in their therapy with me. My clients are seeking to be challenged and make real changes to improve their mental health. I service clients that genuinely value and prioritize weekly therapy appointments. My clients are proactive in their mental health growth both in session and outside of therapy sessions. My clients are motivated and action-oriented about learning ways to improve their mental health, well-being and self-care skills. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize an Integrative and Holistic therapy approach, using CBT Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, and Humanistic therapy. This approach supports clients with motivation, gaining insight, finding solutions, challenging thoughts and managing emotions. We will use CBT to learn how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other, and how to change these patterns to improve your mental health.

Humanistic

This is a form of therapy that encourages a person-centered approach, using compassion, attentive listening, authenticity, strength based feedback, unconditional positive regard, to create an emotional safe space for a client to feel seen, heard, supported, validated about their life experience. It creates a gentle space for clients to work on their growth to address the changes they want to make and pursue the goals they want to pursue.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness based Cognitive therapy combines mindfulness techniques with cognitive therapy to help people address anxiety, stress, and depression.

Psychoanalytic

Being a good candidate for psychoanalysis involves a willingness to commit to treatment, a desire for self-exploration, and an openness to exploring the unconscious mind. This form of therapy can assist with addressing relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions, and can be particularly helpful in understanding underlying patterns and motivations.

Mind-body approach

Incorporating exploration about the connection between physical and emotional wellness. Learning about this interaction will support and empower you in your healing journey.
