Hello. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker living in New Jersey . I received my Masters from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work. I have over 20 years of clinical experience. My practice is centered on working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, burnout and depression. We work together as a team to create a plan that best work for you.
In our first session I will conduct an initial consultation to get to know you and what the drivers are that create anxiety, depressed mood and stress. Then together as a team we look at how this has impacted all areas areas. The first session helps me to focus on a plan and goals that we will work on in upcoming sessions.
My strength is listening and being empathetic. When I work with individuals I share with them that it takes courage to be able to recognize you cannot do everything on your own. It is a sign of strength to ask for help. I will work with you to identify the issues that are taking hold of your life and explore tools that will help reduce the anxiety, depression, burnout etc. and provide you with a plan to get your life back on track.
I have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression. Together we will carve out a path that works best for you. Exposing yourself to situations that cause anxiety, like going into a crowded public space. Together we will put a plan that works for you. Here is a short list of skills used in session: Journaling about your thoughts throughout the day and recording your feelings about your thoughts.
Mindfulness as a practice is used to slow down your thoughts and be more present. Mindfulness is awareness, without judgment, of life as it is, yourself as you are, other people as they are, in the here and now, via direct and immediate experience. When you are mindful, you are awake to life on its terms – fully alive to each moment.
