I am a psychotherapist who takes a collaborative, holistic, and person-centered approach to therapy. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, strengths, and goals at a pace that feels right for them. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I have experience working with teens, adults, and older adults, and I’ve worked with individuals navigating anger management, addiction, relationship stress, mood and anxiety concerns, trauma, grief, and life transitions, including LGBTQ+ clients. I also previously facilitated domestic violence intervention groups in Las Vegas. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, attending concerts, and being with my two dogs.
Your first session is an initial mental health assessment. This appointment is focused on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and determining how therapy can best support you. We will review confidentiality and its limits, talk about your background and current concerns, and discuss what you hope to work on. I will ask questions about your emotional well-being, stressors, and life circumstances to get a clear picture of your needs. The first session is more about assessment and planning rather than doing full therapeutic work. Ongoing therapy sessions will begin after this appointment and will focus more directly on treatment, skill-building, and your therapeutic goals. You’ll also have space to ask questions and see if working together feels like a good fit. My goal is for this first session to feel welcoming, supportive, and collaborative.
My greatest strengths lie in building genuine therapeutic relationships and creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and understood. I take a grounded and compassionate approach, helping clients slow down, gain insight into their patterns, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels sustainable. I work collaboratively and focus on practical tools alongside emotional understanding. I strive to offer an inclusive and supportive environment for all clients, including LGBTQ+ individuals, while helping people navigate stress, emotional challenges, and life transitions with clarity and care.
I work best with adults who are open to reflection, curious about understanding themselves more deeply, and motivated to make meaningful changes. My ideal clients are willing to engage in the therapeutic process, even when it feels challenging, and are interested in developing greater self-awareness, balance, and emotional well-being. My role is to support and guide clients as they build insight, confidence, and practical tools to move forward in a way that feels aligned with their values and goals.

While it was the initial session and very formal I found Juan to be very engaging and attentive to what my goals are and finding out about me I foresee this being the start of a good beginning in my journey of growth
