You know we all deal with our issues and sometimes we cannot do it alone. It is hard to talk to a stranger but give it a try. You won't be judged but welcomed and listened to. I am here to work together with you. I am a licensed psychologist and love working with diverse clients from diverse backgrounds who are dealing with the issues like anxiety, depression, identity, relationship, and life change difficulties. As a Korean immigrant myself, I particularly have great knowledge and experience working with Asian/ Asian Americans, People of Color and immigrants. I have a Master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.
During the intake session, we will do a brief introduction and then discuss the difficulties that you are experiencing. I will gather as much information on your issues as I can in order to have an accurate understanding on the issues and to come up with the therapy goals and the treatment plan that we can work together.
Because of my client-centered and integrative approach that focuses on unique clients' needs, my clients tend to gain new insights and skills to feel better and improve their functions through a collaborative therapy process.
I use it to help the client examine their beliefs and thoughts that are connected with their emotions and behaviors.
I use a combination of approaches, such as CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, person-centered, interpersonal, solution-focused, etc., depending on the client's issues and the goals we set up.
