Hi everyone and welcome to my page. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and licensed to see clients via telehealth in South Carolina. I graduated from University of Central Florida with my Masters in Clinical Social Work and have been practicing since 2016. I help individuals manage mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, and bipolar mood swings. I love working with adults to identify coping skills to manage their emotions and explore other healthy ways to heal.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I work on getting to know clients and what is most important. The more information I can gather, the more I can help guide their journey in therapy. The first session is an assessment for me to identify behaviors or symptoms that clients want to address.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my empathetic style to help me build rapport with clients. This encourages participation in therapy which can be challenging when clients feel vulnerable. Working in a behavioral and residential center has solidified my ability to use diverse techniques and give clients evidenced based recommendations.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with clients to help them identify beliefs about themselves and the world that may be keeping them from living their best lives. By providing a safe no judgement space and using evidenced based interventions, clients feel more confident to manage conflict in their lives. As a Palestinian-Colombian American born in St. Croix with my Islamic spirituality, I am able to help individuals of a similar background feel heard. Clients trust me with their fears, anxieties, and cultural traumas. I am a therapist that knows Islamic values, cultural norms, and expectations. I can help tie therapy coping skills with Islamic values that clients can identify with their spiritual beliefs.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a very useful form of psychotherapy that helps individuals manage intense emotions and challenge negative thoughts. DBT includes tips to implement mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps you understand your thought patterns that lead to emotions and behaviors. By bringing awareness to these patterns, we can work together to explore coping skills to manage negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Strength-Based

I love helping you see how strong you are by helping you identify what you do well on.
