I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in children, adolescents, couples, individuals, and family counseling. I studied at Fairfield University where I received my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My primary therapy methods are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy where I work with clients to discuss presenting problems and issues and collaboratively determine what the ideal solution is by the use of questions and exploration. I believe in creating an environment for all clients that feels welcome, comfortable, and safe. By creating this kind of environment I hope to enhance the process of healing and change for the client. I also believe that the client is the expert in the story of their own lives and so it is important for me to take an active listening role and encourage the client to maximize the skills that already exist within them to minimize the problems that exist in their everyday lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will be focused on building trust and rapport with one another. I believe in creating a safe and comfortable environment from the first session. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in this field for the last 16 plus years I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
