As a therapist certified in EMDR and trained extensively in cognitive behavioral therapies, I specialize in assisting adults with anxiety, depression, addiction, phobias, OCD, PTSD, and traumatic stress. For couples, I bring my expertise in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and as a Gottman Level 3 trained therapist to help you improve communication, manage emotions, resolve conflicts, and keep the romance alive in your relationship. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I appreciate your want to work with me! Therapy can be life transforming but may also feel quite intimidating especially if this is your first time attending a session. I want this experience to be warm, collaborative and most importantly, effective. To that end, during our first session we will begin with introductions, I would then like to answer any questions you may have about this process, next we will discuss the specifics challenges/symptoms you're facing and then end with setting general goals for therapy that will be refined throughout our time working together.

I am an EMDR Certified therapist with extensive training in various cognitive behavioral therapies to help develop specific and effective treatment plans that lead to a reduction of symptoms and an increase in life-fulfilling behavior. Therapy sessions are held in a warm, empathetic, and goal-oriented environment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize ACT to assist my clients in better understanding their thoughts, develop skills to manage behaviors, embrace difficult emotions, enhance present-moment awareness, and align actions with their values and goals.

EMDR

As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I utilize EMDR to help my clients work through overwhelming life experiences that lead to anxiety, depression and other unmanageable feelings and behaviors in order for them to have a more productive and fulfilling life.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I incorporate EFT to assist my clients in better understanding the role of emotions play, both productive and unproductive, in their interactions within themselves and others around them. The development of a more constructive relationship with their own emotions can lead to positive transformation for many clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is the interconnection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. When we learn more effective ways of relating to our thoughts and/or behaving in a manner that is meaningful, both can have a dramatic effect on how one feels. I help my clients to develop skills to do so.

Gottman method

Gottman method couples therapy is based on decades of research. The therapy includes a thorough assessment of the couple's current relationship. This information is then utilized to aid couples in identifying and resolving conflict, deepening their understanding and appreciation of one another, and improve the overall health of the relationship.
