Hello! I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) based in Ohio. I received my Masters from Ohio University and have been practicing for 5 years. I help individuals 5 to 65 years of age struggling with things such as various mood disorders, anxiety, and addiction become the best versions of themselves. Being trained as a Social Worker, I strongly believe that people should be treated with respect and care no matter their life circumstances. I am intentional when working with clients to partner with them in setting goals, changing behaviors, and addressing symptoms to help empower and encourage them to be the version of themselves they want to be.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the initial session, clients can expect a warm greeting and time to get to know one another. They have the ability to ask questions and make known any hesitations or worries they may have in this journey. A large portion of time will also be spent getting a relevant history of the client to get an idea of what they expect or want from therapy. In the continuing sessions, clients can expect a partner to help them reach their goals for their lives.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with younger individuals for the past 5 years, I've developed a way in which to make clients feel heard and validated along with feeling like they have a partner to deal with the struggles of life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been working with this method since 2020, when I took training on Thinking for a Change, which is primarily used in Substance Use Therapy. I use this in my practice to help clients identify thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs that need to be shifted and encourage them to replace them with healthier alternatives.

Motivational Interviewing

This is a method I have used since obtaining my first license in 2019. I utilize this in my practice to encourage clients to come to their own conclusions and feel more empowered. This is more beneficial than simply giving an "answer" or "conclusion" as it helps to teach the client to do this own their own as well.

Strength-Based

I have been using this method throughout my entire career. Every individual has strengths and the best way to encourage growth and prosperity is to utilize those strengths.
