My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often utilize CBT approach to challenge unhealthy ways of thinking (cognitive distortions) and to better help client understand their behaviors. Through this approach I commonly encourage "homework" out of session to practice of strategies learn in session.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focused approach is one that comes naturally to me, quickly identifying the issue and working find more immediate changes and coping strategies that can be implemented to achieve desired resolutions. Focusing less on the past and more on the future.

Strength-Based

Strength based approach is often used to explore and utilize strengths the client already possesses to work on identified issues.
