About me

Hello, I’m Stacy Lyles LPC, and I am passionate about helping individuals and couples find healing, balance, and meaningful connection in their lives. With over 10 of experience as a therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and create lasting change. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, drawing on evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Couples Counseling. Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, life transitions, or self-esteem concerns, I will walk alongside you with care and encouragement. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about empowering you to uncover your strengths, heal old wounds, and grow into the best version of yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported as you move toward greater clarity, peace, and confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session with me is all about creating a safe and welcoming space where you can share what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, concerns, and hopes for our work together, and I’ll ask questions to get to know your story in a deeper way. This session is also a chance for you to get to know me, ask questions, and see if my approach feels like a good fit for you. Together, we’ll begin to outline a plan that feels comfortable, realistic, and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is a combination of compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based methods. I integrate therapies such as CBT, CFT, EFT, MI, and Couples Counseling, tailoring each session to the unique needs and goals of the client. I focus not just on symptom relief, but on helping clients develop practical tools, self-compassion, and emotional resilience that last beyond the therapy room. Clients often notice a safe, non-judgmental space where they can explore difficult emotions, gain clarity, and create meaningful change. My approach is goal-oriented but flexible, allowing each client to move at their own pace while experiencing real progress in self-understanding, relationships, and personal growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals and couples who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of self-doubt, anxiety, stress, or relationship conflict, and are looking for tools and support to move forward. I especially enjoy working with people who are open to self-reflection, motivated to grow, and seeking greater balance, confidence, and connection. Whether you want to quiet your inner critic, strengthen your relationships, heal from past hurts, or navigate a major life transition, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel understood and empowered to take the next step toward your goals

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a highly effective and evidence-based approach that helps clients recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify the connections between how you think, how you feel, and how you respond, allowing you to build healthier coping skills and new perspectives. CBT is practical, goal-oriented, and collaborative, giving you tools you can use both in and outside of sessions to create meaningful, lasting change

Compassion Focused

In our work together, I use Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to help you be kinder and gentler with yourself. Many of us are harder on ourselves than we’d ever be on someone we love. CFT helps calm that inner critic, reduce shame, and build a sense of inner safety and confidence. It’s about learning to treat yourself with the same compassion you give to others, so you can feel stronger, more balanced, and at peace.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I provide a safe and supportive space for partners to strengthen their relationship. Together, we explore communication patterns, rebuild trust, and learn new ways of connecting that foster closeness and understanding. My goal is to help couples move beyond conflict and create healthier, more satisfying relationships where both partners feel heard, valued, and supported

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples and individuals strengthen their emotional bonds and feel more connected. EFT focuses on the deeper emotions and needs that often get hidden beneath conflict or distance. By slowing down and creating space for each partner’s feelings, EFT helps couples rebuild trust, heal from disconnection, and create lasting closeness and security

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their own motivation for change in a supportive, non-judgmental way. Instead of telling you what to do, MI empowers you to uncover your personal strengths and reasons for making positive changes, so that the steps you take feel natural, meaningful, and truly your own
