Fulfilling our potential is a lifelong journey of becoming more at peace with ourselves, deepening the intimacy in our relationships, being more authentically human, and feeling more alive each day. Along the way, certain challenges arise to cause us distress or confusion. Such moments can make us feel held back, afraid, or unsure of where to go from here. But these moments can also be the points of growth and healing from which we renew ourselves in ways we did not think possible. It is a great privilege helping men and women in their search to improve their relationship with themselves and others, to lessen the burden of emotional pain, to experience freedom from addictions, or to embark on new life challenges - to find the hope and courage needed to take those important next steps.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My counseling approach is primarily one of empowerment: allowing your personal strengths to be nurtured and developed, while lessening psychological hindrances that may be damaging your quality of life. I am mindful of the whole person - your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a strength based and holistic therapist, I specialize in promoting harmony within and without. By first developing a stronger and more peaceful relationship with oneself, other or outer relationships naturally form to be more fulfilling, healthy ,and joyful.

My treatment methods

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology has a focus on your strengths as an individual - your unique qualities, values, skills and interests - and how to promote these to deepen your personal, social, and professional life experiences.

Integrative

Meaningful and long term growth is only achieved through an integrative approach to health and well-being. In this way, your physical, emotional, mental, social, energetic, and professional selves are considered, both separately and as a whole. Mental health is not an aspect of any one part of yourself, but an experience influenced by multiple conditions at once - how we think, what and how we feel, what we do, our social interactions, what we pay attention to, our physical status, etc.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

How we think influences how we interpret events, others, and ourselves. This has an impact on how we feel and behave. CBT has a focused and unique skill-based approach to align our thinking - and, therefore, our feelings and behaviors - in a more beneficial, realistic, and healthy manner. Identifying and uprooting our deep seated negative beliefs, assumptions, and thought patterns are an essential benefit of therapy and psychological growth in general.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Awareness, what we pay attention to, and how we are embodied as a human on a experiential level promotes mental stability and sustained vitality. Mindfulness is both an experience and a practiced, refined skill.

Existential

In the pursuit of purpose and meaning, psychology offers a valuable layer of contribution. Therapy can be used to clarify personal values and goals, acknowledge fundamental fears or hopes, facilitate deeper authenticity, and clear out mental/emotional hindrances that get in the way of being more alive.
