Hello! I am a Mexican-American Bilingual Mental health therapist who is committed to helping you overcome overthinking, anxiety, and depression. I will do my best to meet you wherever you may be in the process of healing and create a space where you can process and create new ways of living that work best for you. By providing a safe, judgement-free space I will empower you to build upon your skills, helping you understand how your past impacts your daily living. If you find that you are ready to embark on this journey of healing, please contact me and I'd love to assist you every step of the way.
In our first session we will introduce ourselves, go over confidentiality and challenges you are facing. This will help me make a plan for our time together.
I have been in this field for 8 years, my greatest strength is to listen and be able to provide my clients with other perspectives that they might be missing. I am able to provide a safe space for my clients which helps them express themselves freely.
I have been using Cognitive behavioral therapy in my practice for the last four years and it has helped my clients become aware of their thought patterns such as behaviors, thoughts and emotions, they are able to recognize how it affects their daily living. CBT has helped my clients challenge their thought patterns and learn ways to develop healthier thought patterns to be able to challenge any uncomfortable feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.
I have been using Narrative therapy in my practice for the last four years. I embrace my clients to become experts in their own life and provide a safe space to talk about their experiences. Narrative therapy helps clients find their own solutions and empowers them at the same time.
I have used Gestalt therapy with clients who have experienced extreme trauma and they are not comfortable talking about what happened. Gestalt therapy focuses on the present moment and helps clients understand what is happening at the present moment in their lives.
I have provided grief therapy to clients in the past four years. I provide a safe space for clients to express their emotions related to loss of self due to a traumatic or major event in their life or the loss of a loved one. I believe grief has no time limit and I empower my clients to grieve as long as they need to. As we work together, I provide psychoeducation among other techniques by providing a listening ear to my clients through their grief.
Providing mindfulness based therapy for my clients, has helped them decrease stress and symptoms of anxiety. I help my clients become mindful of their thinking, eating, behaviors and surroundings. This helps them be more aware of themselves in the present moment.
