I work towards building trust with clients. My practice focuses on helping those who struggle with managing stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and women's issues. People tell me often that i have a calm presence. I do enjoy providing realistic skills, people enjoy practicality and need immediate relief from distress at times. Why wouldn't i teach my clients to find relief from the overwhelming stress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will get to know each other, i will learn a lot about you. Hopefully you learn something about yourself you didn't know before. Together we will figure out some realistic goals, where you hope to be in the future, and strategize a plan on how to get there.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

From what i have been told my greatest strength is that i take the time to not only listen with intent, but i help people dive deep into things that they have been avoiding to think and talk about. Things don't seem as scary when we talk about them, and having someone calming can help reduce the various fears we have.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

We start of by getting a better look at what has been going on, getting some baseline information. We discuss realistic goals. There are many things we can do to help improve sleep. I am going to invite some realist changes in your life that have been proven to help aid with sleep difficulties. We can practice some calming exercise that you can easily to do help you access a calmer state to increase the changes of getting quality sleep. Sometimes consulting with a sleep specialist in necessary, but with insomnia the standard treatment is CBT.

Eclectic

Eclectic is a term used to indicate that i can adjust my approach to my client needs. I may pull from different therapy approaches depending on what is presented to me and what i know to be helpful.

EMDR

EMDR is helpful for many concerns, but i tend to use in with aiding in reducing distress of anxiety and future events. My practice focuses on helping individuals with anxiety, panic disorders, and agoraphobia.
