Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut. I got my Masters degree from Central Connecticut State University. I have been practicing for the past 12 years. I love helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, grief, and adjustment issues return to their previous levels of functioning prior to their clinical symptoms becoming a concern.
My approach to therapy is strengths-based, meaning that as we journey together, you will develop a more resilient and authentic self. And how your strengths and challenges support your best self. I look forward to accompanying you at every juncture of your journey.
My style is non-directive and client-centric. I incorporate God-centric interventions for interested clients to help them be congruent with their belief systems. I am highly motivated to assist you in any setting through your unique challenges. As a culturally sensitive therapist, I integrate the cultural values of my clients into our sessions. offering hope and support so that my clients feel heard and understood.
I use CBT to assist clients recognize their negative thought patterns and work with them to challenge and reframe these thoughts. This process involves questioning the evidence for these thoughts, examining their usefulness, and considering alternative, more balanced ways of thinking. It also includes behavioral experiments and activities where the client tries new ways of acting, problem-solving skills, and monitoring progress.
In my practice, I blend traditional psychological theories and interventions with integration of Christian principles and scripture to meet the unique needs of clients who are interested in Christian counseling, respecting their spiritual journey and personal beliefs.
