Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker based in Florida. I know how important it is to find a therapist that you mesh well with, who respects and listens to you, and is nonjudgmental, but will also say what you may need to hear. I enjoy spending time with my dog, going rock climbing, and listening to music. I graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and have been practicing for 12 years. I help adults address stress, trauma, anxiety, panic, and depression they have experienced and support them in living full lives. Let's get you out of this dark place and back to living life again!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will explore different areas of your life and how they shape you, such as work, school, family, and friends. You tell me what you’d like to work on, or I can help you determine, and we will make a plan!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician with experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Mental health work is my passion and I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Are you looking for basic talk therapy? Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an approach using the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to challenge unhelpful patterns affecting your well-being. This therapy will support identification of individual's core values, while exploring and challenging beliefs about self, others, and the world. I have 12 years of experience providing CBT and was trained directly by the Beck Institute.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Are you looking for PTSD specific treatment? Cognitive Processing Therapy is a PTSD specific treatment based in CBT. Through Cognitive Processing Therapy, individuals explore their "stuck points" or beliefs about self, others, and the world that have been impacted by history of trauma. This therapy will explore how traumatic events have impacted beliefs around safety, trust, power/control, esteem, and intimacy. I have 2 years of experience providing CPT and was trained directly by the developers of the evidence based treatment.

Motivational Interviewing

Are you looking for support in decision-making and motivation? Motivational Interviewing is an approach exploring an individual's readiness or stage of change. MI is a person-centered approach using empathy, open-ended questions, and other techniques to help individuals make changes in their life. I have been trained in MI and utilizing this treatment for 12 years.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Are you looking for a PTSD treatment and ready to address the trauma directly? Prolonged Exposure Therapy is a PTSD specific treatment based in CBT. Through Prolonged Exposure Therapy, individuals will engage in two types of exposure (imaginal and in vivo) to work toward habituation, decreasing their emotional, cognitive, and physiological responses to internal and external stimuli related to their traumatic experience. I have 2.5 years of experience providing PE and was trained by STRONG STAR, a leading research and training institute on PTSD.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Are you seeking trauma related treatment for your child/adolescent? Trauma-Focused CBT is an approach that helps children, adolescents, and their caregivers deal with trauma-related issues. The approach helps children and adolescents address distorted beliefs and learn to cope with everyday stressors, while directly addressing trauma. I was trained in TF-CBT in 2016 while working in child welfare with children who have experienced trauma, many of which were involved in foster care or adoption.
