I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Massachusetts. I have a Masters degree from Lesley University in Expressive Therapies, Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling, and have been providing outpatient mental health services for the past six years. I provide sessions in which individuals can feel seen and heard, developing safety and trust. I encourage clients to identify and expand upon their strengths and supports to create new meaning in their lives. I utilize a person centered approach while incorporating CBT skills, grounding skills, and motivational interviewing, providing room for creativity and imagining new possibilities.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. We will examine if there are any thoughts or behaviors that may have served you at one time but that have stopped serving you. We will explore what coping skills you have tried that have or have not worked. We will explore potential supports or interests that you would like to build upon.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide validation. I help clients to discover and build upon areas of strength and support in their lives. I bring creativity into the process as we examine coping skills that have and have not worked, and ways to reimagine new possibilities.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe in providing therapy sessions in which individuals can feel seen and heard, developing safety and trust. In therapy, clients can identify and expand upon their strengths and supports to create new meaning in their lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I lead clients in identifying self talk statements that do not serve them, and reframing these statements to better serve them going forward. We examine thinking patterns, behaviors and feelings, and how the three interact in life situations.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness skills I have led clients in often throughout the past six years include visualizations, breathing exercises, meditations and progressive muscle relaxation.
