Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I received my Master's degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Towson University in MD. I have been practicing for over 18 years. I help new parents and returning mothers struggling with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I provide emotional support to clients who are dealing with life transitions and adjustments providing them with skills to live a happier and a more resilient life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, we will start with introductions and build rapport with you so you feel comfortable with me, knowing that I am not a blank slate. I use appropriate humor sometimes to decrease the anxiety about being in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Building rapport with you is my greatest strength! I want you to feel heard, listened to, and validated. That will be the foundation of our work. When you believe that I'm in your corner, I can start to teach you specific skills to challenge your own thoughts about yourself, others and the world around you. My role is to empower you to start to advocate for your self and your peace.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is utilized to teach skills and to challenge irrational thoughts that keep you stuck. Used only if it's a good fit for the client.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT therapy is utilized for clients who struggle with fertility issues, grief/loss, chronic illness and other difficult to manage emotions.

Couples Counseling

I conduct couples counseling and utilize EFT, Gottman methods and FFT therapies depending on couple.
