Hi. My name is Scott Natale, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2006. I am happy you are considering a more satisfying way of life. Believe me, it is my pleasure to help you do that. Together, we can look at disappointments, core beliefs that support dysfunction, and determine the best way out. All you that will be asked of you is to participate in therapy with the courage and honesty needed to be truthful about what is getting in the way of achieving your goals, be willing to cope with fear and learn something new. In addition, along the way we will practice guided meditation and visualization with progressive muscle relaxation as a means to facilitate improved focus and mindfulness. Be well and hope to meet soon!
In out first session we will take some time to get to know each other, establish the focus of our sessions and goal setting as well as cognitive behavioral means for treatment.
My biggest strength as a therapist is empathy, my ability to not take things personally at work and provide undivided attention to foster increased understanding and a feeling of being heard.
Using CBT to identify core beliefs and changing automatic thoughts that support depression, and anxiety has been a central part of my work and accomplishments in therapy with consumers of many different backgrounds and presenting concerns.
Psychodynamic treatment involves the role of important interpersonal relationships in the development of trust v mistrust, acceptance v rejection and connection v alienation as well as the impact of sensitive and consistent treatment in helping an individual to correct issues related to these stages.
