Hi there! I'm a therapist who truly believes in the power of self-determination and the unique strengths each person brings to the table. I see you as the expert in your own life, and I'm here to offer a warm, open, and non-judgmental space where you can freely share your thoughts, emotions, and fears. We'll work together to navigate life's changes and transitions, whether you're dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, anger, or other challenges. My goal is to help you build the skills you need to manage these obstacles and feel more effective and fulfilled in your personal and professional life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and complete a brief history of your mental and physical health. Then, we will dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I use evidenced-based practices from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy to lead clients to the best possible outcomes. My strength is my patience and dedication to serving my client until they feels somewhat satisfied and fullfilled.
CBT is a popular structured and goal-oriented talk therapy that has proven efficacy in treating many mental health ailments, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, and personality disorders. It is a straightforward approach that focuses on one’s thoughts, inaccurate perceptions of self and others, and underlying beliefs. It is considered a short-term therapy with treatment typically lasting between three to four months
I use motivational interviewing with clients that are considering changing habits but are uncertain as to whether or not they are ready do so. I aim to help clients find the motivation to make positive behavior change. I hold true to four principles throughout their recovery process. The four principles are: Express Empathy, Develop Discrepancy, Roll with Resistance and Self-Efficacy. I use this method as the client and I construct a narrative to move them forward.
I offer Christian marriage counseling which is cognitive behavioral-based counseling for married Christian couples. This counseling incorporates psychotherapy with Christian belief practices. This approach aims to develop relational techniques that strengthen communication, consideration, and commitment to one another while enhancing individual spiritual growth
I use this talk therapy method to work with families and children that has experienced trauma and are working towards a secure attachment style.
