If you want a different kind of experience with someone who is open-minded, accepting, warm, curious, and insightful, I can help. We all have a story that's influenced by everything that has happened in our lives, and we are each in charge of the way that story unfolds. I love to use stories, myths, and visual analogies in my work. Let's work on yours together! I have served clients for 17 years and have significant experience with groups, families, adults, adolescents, and children. I am a licensed professional counselor, a national certified counselor, and a certified professional counselor supervisor. I provide pre-licensed masters level counselors with clinical supervision as well. My philosophy of counseling is inspired by the work of Carl Jung who incorporated concepts of archetypes into his theories and I am interested in discovering how we can apply these ideas to our daily lives using a depth psychology perspective. We are all here for a reason and can change the world from within. I'd be honored to help you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." -Roald Dahl I am a child of the 1980's and was raised on some of the greatest films of all time- The Neverending Story, Return to Oz, Labyrinth, and The Goonies. I have not lost touch with my inner child and still enjoy being silly, playing video games, telling stories, and getting into a little mischief. I do not apologize for this and won't stop doing it either. Yes I am a professional and take my work seriously, but I also believe that if we stop playing, we slowly die. We will absolutely not have a single session in which you don't laugh by the end, even if it's a brief one!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In addition to being licensed as a counselor, I completed a Certificate Program in Jungian Studies in 2020 through the Zur Institute. I hope to eventually become a certified Jungian analyst as this is my passion. Some of my favorite quotes from Jung: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word ‘happy’ would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.” “The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.”

Existential

In our modern age, we are inundated with information and yet we have a difficult time finding the answer to the question: "why am I here?" I have asked this question and continue to ask it. We are SUPPOSED to ask this, repeatedly. The answer reveals itself over time and the more we ask, the more we learn. I don't necessarily see purpose as a pre-packaged, external thing that we receive during a crystallized moment of time. It is a beautifully enigmatic, unfolding miracle that we learn more about every time we have a meaningful experience and connection.
