I'm a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania and have worked as a community based therapist for nine years. I've treated individuals of all ages and their families, addressing issues like managing and healing from conflict, anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, and grief. My approach as a therapist is an integrative one. I pull from all my knowledge and evidence based theories/interventions to offer skills, information, and techniques that are unique to your needs. I spent most of my career working in an agency setting and am now excited and humbled to be able to provide services to the community through my private practice, Solid Ground Therapy. I strongly value providing quality care and honoring the trust and alliance built in the therapeutic relationship. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage. Congratulations on getting started! I'm here for you and honored to support you in your effort to live as a healthier, more authentic you.
During our first sessions I'll ask questions to get to know you and what brings you to therapy. Then, I'll teach you skills related to regulation and how such skills work in the body. Moving forward, we'll work to identify strengths and challenges, problem solve, practice relaxation, and process difficult emotions/situations. You will grow to understand yourself in a way that allows you to make changes and feel satisfied with the life you are living.
My style is heavily influenced by Mindfulness, Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I believe in encouragement and empowering clients as you are the expert of your story and have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you.
I am committed to providing a safe and therapeutic environment to sensitive individuals through tele-health services. In order to do so, I have focused my continued education on cultural sensitivity, TF-CBT, coping with grief, the healing of trauma, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and nutrition for mental health. I invite you to be yourself, work through the difficulties of grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and more, and grow past surviving into thriving.
