Hi, I’m Tamima — a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas. I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the process feel safe, supportive, and genuine. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, values, current challenges, and hopes for change. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan focused on your unique needs and goals.
I offer a heart-centered, compassionate approach grounded in empathy and acceptance. I also welcome spirituality into the therapy space if it’s meaningful to you—whether that’s connecting to faith, exploring purpose, or seeking peace and alignment within.
I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I’m especially passionate about helping clients reconnect with their inner strength, gain clarity, and build resilience in the face of life’s ups and downs.
I use CBT to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, and PTSD. This structured, goal-oriented approach empowers clients to better understand how their thoughts influence their emotions and actions—and how to shift them toward more supportive, balanced ways of thinking.
I incorporate mindfulness practices to help clients stay present, grounded, and emotionally regulated. Mindfulness-Based Therapy teaches clients how to observe their thoughts and feelings with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. This approach is especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions, while fostering a deeper sense of inner peace and spiritual connection.
I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify what’s working, set realistic goals, and move forward with confidence. This approach is future-oriented and emphasizes your strengths and inner resources. Together, we’ll explore practical tools and small, meaningful steps that can lead to real change in areas such as relationships, stress, anxiety, and self-esteem.
