As a therapist, I strive to create and maintain a safe, judgment-free environment for my clients to be vulnerable and explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, good and bad. I utilize a collaborative approach to raise awareness, discuss deeper issues, and support clients in overcoming barriers so they can live fulfilling lives. I understand that, at times, this process can be intimidating, and it takes a lot of courage to acknowledge you might need help. So, I want to emphasize that if you choose to work with me, I will be there to lend an empowering, helping hand.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is dedicated to us getting to know each other. This includes my understanding of your presenting concerns, gathering your history, and exploring your previous experiences with therapy (what has worked and what hasn't). We will also discuss your interests, current strengths, and goals. It is important for me to answer any questions you may have about my professional experience. This process ensures that you feel comfortable and that we are a good match for therapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are empathy, compassion, and the ability to truly listen. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable discussing even the most sensitive concerns. Building strong rapport and trust is central to my work, and I approach each client with kindness, curiosity, and respect. I have experience working with diverse populations and supporting individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, LGBTQI+ related concerns, and perinatal mental health. I am EMDR-trained and currently working toward full certification, integrating trauma-informed approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, and move toward meaningful healing.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with adults who want to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult life experiences and are looking to understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. In therapy, we explore triggers, relationship dynamics, and long standing patterns that may be connected to past or intergenerational trauma and that continue to impact emotional wellbeing. My goal is to help you develop insight while also learning practical tools to cope with difficult emotions, improve communication, and challenge negative thought patterns. If you are motivated to grow, heal from past experiences, and build a healthier and more fulfilling life, therapy can be a supportive place to begin that work. I strive to help clients feel understood, empowered, and better equipped to move forward with confidence.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With over 10 years of experience helping individuals manage depression, anxiety, and substance use challenges using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In our sessions, we work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to stress, self-doubt, or feeling stuck. I help clients learn how to challenge negative thoughts and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can better understand your thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, and build lasting changes that improve your daily life.
Humanistic
In sessions, I use a Humanistic approach to build a strong and trusting relationship with my clients. I focus on creating a supportive space by being genuine, empathetic, and providing reflective listening and unconditional positive regard. This approach encourages individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions openly while recognizing their own strengths and personal values. Humanistic therapy emphasizes each person’s capacity for growth, self-discovery, and free will, helping clients develop greater self-awareness and a deeper sense of self-acceptance.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have several years of experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage intense emotions, navigate difficult situations, and build healthier relationships. In sessions, I teach practical skills to stay mindful and present, increase tolerance for distress, improve communication, and regulate emotions. I tailor DBT strategies to each client’s unique needs, helping them apply these tools in daily life, develop self-compassion, and create lasting change. This approach is particularly helpful for those struggling with emotional overwhelm, relationship conflicts, or feeling stuck in negative patterns.
EMDR
As an EMDR-trained clinician (pursuing full certification), I help clients safely process traumatic or distressing memories using guided techniques that engage both sides of the brain. This process supports the development of healthier beliefs and emotions, helping clients reduce the impact of past experiences and move toward greater emotional balance and resilience. EMDR can be especially helpful for those struggling with trauma, anxiety, or overwhelming emotional responses.
Motivational Interviewing
I have over 10 years of experience using Motivational Interviewing (MI), a supportive and collaborative approach that helps clients explore their goals and find their own motivation for change. In sessions, I listen carefully to each client’s perspective, help them clarify their values, and guide them in discovering practical steps that feel achievable. MI empowers clients to build confidence, overcome ambivalence, and make meaningful changes at a pace that works for them.

She’s the best therapist I’ve had in really helping me start the process to HEAL from trauma. I’m really grateful for her support and knowledge with EMDR. She makes me feel safe, heard, and understood. I wouldn’t want anyone else as a therapist
