My name is Lupita Perez-Gonzalez MA, LPC, LCDC. I have been working at non profit organizations for the last 10 years. I worked with an array of clients from children to adults. I treated children that had endured a trauma experience with TF-CBT. Adults I've treated were experiencing severe substance abuse, severe mental health (anxiety,depression,bipolar schizophrenia), post traumatic stress disorder, sexual abuse, and/or domestic violence.
We will start with brief introductions and what brings them to seek services and what they are looking to get. We will review the assessments they answered and possibly complete other assessments as needed. Then we can come up with a plan for our future sessions and goals we can accomplish.
My ability to connect with clients experiences helps me build trusting relationships with my clients and helps client share comfortably and more receptive for feedback.
I love helping people overcome symptoms their experiences have triggered. I help my clients understand that their symptoms or past experiences do not have to dictate their life.
We will learn to focus on the present and and welcome our emotions as they come.
