Hi! I'm Pam Lambert, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist in the State of Texas. I specialize in helping clients work through the residual effects of childhood abuse or neglect. Many had caregivers that struggled with mental health issues or substance abuse. I also specialize in helping individuals navigate the anxiety associated with spiritual deconstruction. My clients often report difficulty connecting with and trusting others. They report feeling shame, self-doubt or negative self-talk. Many experience ongoing conflict in relationships, loneliness, depression or anxiety. Loss of community, difficulty making decisions or trouble setting limits are also common. Perfectionism and procrastination. My experience includes work with adults and adolescents age 16 and older. My expertise in treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, and the recognition of the impact that larger systems, such as family and community have on the a person's well-being, help me empower clients to find the relief they're looking for. It would be a privilege to guide and support you through whatever life has thrown your way. Grab a cup of coffee and let’s talk.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My style is warm and affirming. You’ll find a place of acceptance, free of judgement. During the first session, clients usually share what brought them to therapy. It's a conversation with some clients, and active listening on my part with others. I adjust to my client's needs at the moment. My clients typically express a sense of relief at the end of the session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients tell me they feel seen. That rapport comes from my ability to listen to the individual experiences of my clients, and that's what opens the door for the healing work of therapy to happen. Helping clients better understand themselves and challenge the patterns that hold them back is what drives my work as a therapist. I’m able to help you explore and build insight as we work together to find the relief you’re looking for. I bring a combination of clinical skills and expertise, you bring your strengths and challenges, and together, we curate a plan to meet your unique needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We explore how your thoughts might be effecting your emotions and behavior. If a pattern is identified, we use evidence-based methods to intervene in the cycle.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Thoughts often become fused making it difficult to get relief. We practice evidence-based cognitive diffusion and learn to be "present" with whatever life brings.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an effective treatment for processing traumatic memories and other highly distressing situations. The method helps to change the way the memory is stored in the brain giving the memory less power.

Attachment-based

Clients often discover past childhood traumas and attachment wounds when entering therapy. I use attachment-based therapy to help clients develop or rebuild trust, learn to identify and express emotions, and improve their ability to form secure, trusting relationships.
