I am a counselor and a behavior analyst. I combine counseling with applied behavior analysis techniques. While counseling provides new perspectives, personal growth, and self-awareness, behavior therapy can identify and change behavior patterns, and even thinking patterns. Both therapies together can be very effective in meaningful change that lasts. I work with all ages and all individuals. I focus on coping skills, self-esteem, trauma issues, self-regulation, and achieving healthy self-care and independence.
In our first session together we'll talk about your life and we'll talk out your concerns. I’ll listen closely to understand your unique situation and goals, which will help me create a personalized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. This initial conversation is all about getting to know you and setting the foundation for meaningful progress as we move forward.
I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore difficult emotions and experiences. I offer a nonjudgemental and open-minded space that allows you to feel heard and understood. My strengths are responsiveness and good communication. I am very empathetic. Together, we will work to develop insight, identify obstacles, and create goals that support your desired change. I also have extensive experience in the special needs community.
I can help any age group. I work with adults, teens, and children on issues such as coping issues, stress, trauma, anxiety, and depression. My background in behavior analysis is valuable with coping problems, communication issues, and developing practical strategies for change.

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is a modified form of cognitive therapy incorporating practices that include present-moment awareness and breathing exercises.
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented approach to therapy developed from traditional behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions. Instead, they learn to accept that their deeper feelings are appropriate responses to situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives. With this new understanding, clients can accept their hardships and commit to making changes in their behavior.
