About me

Welcome, my name is Adam McReynolds. My ideal clients are individuals and families navigating trauma, identity, and major life transitions—whether due to military service, complex relationships, or adolescence. Many people feel overwhelmed by the weight of their past or unsure of how to move forward. We want to feel empowered, emotionally safe, and in control of our lives. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified in EMDR, I specialize in trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, and adolescent development. I offer a supportive, direct, and culturally responsive space to explore healing and growth. My work blends evidence-based approaches with deep compassion and practical tools. Whether you're working through the lasting impacts of trauma, a teen trying to make sense of your world, or someone in a blended family seeking peace, you're not alone. I've walked alongside many on similar journeys, and I’m here to support yours. Let’s take the next step together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I will welcome you and explain what you can expect from the therapy process, including my role, the importance of confidentiality, and its limits. I’ll invite you to share what brought you in, your concerns, and the goals you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll explore some background information, such as your personal history, relationships, work, health, and any past counseling experiences, so I can better understand your current stressors, coping strategies, and strengths. We’ll also begin outlining a plan for how therapy might look moving forward, including how often we’ll meet and the approaches I may use to support you. You’ll have the chance to ask me any questions, clarify what you need from therapy, and learn what you can expect from me. By the end of our session, I’ll summarize the key points we discussed and make sure you leave with a sense of direction and support.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, trauma, relationship stress, PTSD, life transitions, and adolescent challenges. A typical treatment plan may include CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused work. Clients often report greater emotional clarity, improved relationships, and a renewed sense of control within the first few sessions.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I'm trained to provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in trauma, relationships, and life transitions, using evidence-based practices to support healing, growth, and lasting change.
