I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Boston, Massachusetts. I received my masters in mental health counseling at Framingham State University. I have also interned in a diverse array of services including counseling women victims of domestic violence, family and individual therapy, psychoses, social services for the community and the elderly population in nursing homes. I currently work as a clinician to promote the community reintegration of individuals with a criminal and psychiatric background. Therefore I have gained experience in helping diverse individual's who struggle with mental health challenges in their efforts to improve their well being in various contexts.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session after introductions, I will be interested to hear from my client their motivations to seek therapy at this current time. I will also be interested in any other content the client thinks is most relevant for that first session, including answering questions they may have regarding any aspects of the treatment pertaining to their case.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I value what makes each person unique in the therapeutic relationship to elicit the client's ability to gradually detach their self-concept away from rigid definitions that might be restraining their efforts and potential to grow.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

My interest in the psychodynamic framework of therapy originated through a combination of formal graduate training and practical experience in the mental health field. I have used this framework as a reference to identify dysfunctional relationship patterns with significant others in the past and present that might have contributed with an individual's current struggle. Interventions are not only aimed at helping individual's gain self-awareness over their personal challenges in the context of these relationships but also help them mobilize efforts to build healthy interactions with themselves and others.
