Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Connecticut. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Springfield College and I am a UCONN undergraduate alumni. I am a single mother of two and currently work for the Judicial Branch of the State of Connecticut full time. I have been practicing for a total of four years and have a goal of helping individuals become the best version of themselves unapologetically.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will start with brief introductions and then dive into your specific challenges that lead you to seek out therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with diverse populations over the past 10 years to include children and families involved with DCF/CPS, individuals dealing with trauma, family/intimate partner violence, divorce and custody related issues. I have a profound understanding of the complexities and the joys of parenting, specifically single parenting.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young adults who are eager to improve but may not have the tools or confidence necessary to do so. Maybe you're a parent juggling the everyday tasks of raising your children. Maybe you're a working professional trying to manage a challenging workload. Maybe you're someone dealing with the complexities of life and feeling stuck with no idea where to go or what to do. I aim to provide a safe space for you to discuss whatever your issues are and feel welcomed, supported, and validated, while doing so.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT illustrates how certain thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions can trap you in a negative cycle and even create new situations that make you feel worse about yourself. CBT aims to stop negative cycles such as these by breaking down things that make you feel bad, anxious or scared. By making your problems more manageable, CBT can help you change your negative thought patterns and improve the way you feel.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Using meditation, relaxation and awareness exercises to help focus on the present moment, aiming overtime to experience every day life and stressors in a non reactionary ways.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

A short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach to help clients construct solutions y focusing on the future, identifying strengths, setting goals, and taking action.

Supportive

Providing emotional support, encouragement, and validation during difficult life experiences or psychological challenges.
