I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York. I graduated from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University and have been in this field for 7 years. I help clients process childhood trauma, traumatic-based symptoms and experiences. I also help clients who are experiencing challenges grief, with life transitions, depressive-symptoms, and anxiety-related symptoms.
In our first session, we will begin with reviewing intake information, safety, confidentiality and brief introductions. We will discuss the expectations and framework (telehealth, frequency, timeliness, participation, fee) of therapy sessions. Clients can expect to discuss what led them to seek therapy and what they hope to get out of treatment. We will create goals to work towards in future sessions.
Through my experience of providing therapy, the therapeautic relationship and creating a space where a client feels safe is of the upmost importance. I am compassionate, non-judgmental, and work at the clients’ pace.
Psychodynamic therapy is the primary modality I use in treatment. Utilizing psychodynamic techniques, I help clients examine patterns, emotions, relationship dynamics, and childhood experiences to understand current behaviors, thoughts, and other mental processes.
I utilize CPT to to address trauma symptoms that may be getting in the way of fully participating in psychodynamic therapy.
