LCSW-C, 14 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I'm Ashley, a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addiction Counselor in Maryland. With 14 years of experience in various roles, including working in schools, as a family services worker, crisis worker, group therapist, and individual therapist. My goal is to help you live to your full potential and support you in becoming the best version of yourself.
When you meet with me, you'll find a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself. I believe in a client-centered approach, meeting you where you are to help you become your best self. Utilizing a strength-based approach, I enjoy helping people recognize and harness their strengths to achieve their goals. My therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness interventions.
I've had the privilege of helping individuals from all walks of life. My journey also includes working as an Addiction Counselor in outpatient and jail settings, where I've supported individuals with co-occurring disorders, victims of child abuse and trauma, incarcerated individuals, and families in kinship and foster care. I work with people of all ages, facilitating group therapy with adolescents and adults, and providing family therapy. I've always had a passion for helping others, a calling I felt even as a child. As a wife and mother of four, including twins, I understand the stressors of parenthood, prenatal, and postpartum life. I love spending time with my family, finding fun activities to do together, and exploring new places. I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, going for walks, and working out. A few years ago, I completed a half marathon, and my goal is to eventually complete a full marathon.
My commitment is to help make the world a better and happier place by supporting people in becoming the best version of themselves. I know that starting therapy and opening up to a stranger can be daunting, but when you're ready to talk, I'm here to listen and support you.
