Hi, I've been working with families, children and individuals since 1998 and obtained my master's in social work in 2004. I have worked in community mental health and have been in private practice for 3 years. I love to help people unleash their potential by finding strengths and working through fears and hurts that get in their way. I have a long history of working with veterans and appreciate their unique experiences. I completed 3 phases of training with Star Behavioral Health including CPT, PE, and CBT for insomnia and love to help veterans with a genuine non-judgmental approach.
Our first session will include getting to know each other and identifying those things that are challenges for you. We will work on setting goals for your future and together we will design a plan to help you meet your goals.
I have a large toolbox of skills to help you identify what is in your way and can help you identify a path forward toward the life you want.
By using a person centered approach we can find strengths to help you grow the life you want. Using this approach I can both help you explore and support you in finding what is already there and listen without judgment. Together we can uncover hurts and work to repair the hurt. You are the leader in your growth and will experience new insights, trust and understanding.
CPT is designed to help you work through past trauma to reduce distress when you are reminded of your trauma. This is a good approach to resolving PTSD by using education, working on past trauma and building sense of safety, power and control.
