My name is Monica Rosa, and I am a Cape Verdean American clinician with over 10 years of experience in the field of social work. I believe my upbringing and life experiences have helped shape the compassionate and culturally responsive therapist I am today. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and home-based environments, which has provided me with extensive experience supporting diverse populations and navigating a wide range of challenges. I provide compassionate individual therapy for adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and everyday life stressors. I am committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, with a focus on building healthy coping skills, improving emotional well-being, and fostering personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and open space where they are encouraged to discuss their concerns, fears, and expectations for therapy. This initial session is an opportunity for clients to share their experiences, explore the goals they would like to work toward, and discuss what they hope therapy will look and feel like for them. Together, we will begin building a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship tailored to each client’s individual needs and personal growth journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me unique as a clinician is my versatility of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, populations, and age groups. These experiences have strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs and circumstances. My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative. I believe it is essential for clients to feel actively involved in their treatment process, as therapy works best when individuals feel empowered, supported, and heard throughout their journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm best positioned to serve clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and life stressors. Clients who are willing to work on coping skills and to use them. Clients who want to be more involved with their treatment and what they would like to work on. Clients who ask questions and let me know what is working for them and what is not working for them.
