(she/her)
Hello! I am Amy White, a Licensed Clinical Social Work. I received my degree from University of Texas at Arlington and have worked in the field for 11 years. I have had my private practice for five years. I strive to foster a safe environment to discuss any/all topics that will help my clients achieve an even happier and healthier life.
In our first session together, I will explain my therapeutic approach. We will take time to highlight the areas of discussion along our journey. I will take space to make sure you are feeling heard and understood. I understand that therapy can be nerve-wrecking. My hope is to create and communicate a sense of ease around the process.
My greatest strengths as a provider are that I am able to explore root causes of different symptoms. I want to help you feel comfortable to talk about everything and anything. I have a set of tools and techniques to help your internal and external experiences to be even more fulfilling for you.
I love serving those who recognize they want their inner experiences to look different. I work with adults who are open to learning a new perspective to better manage their thoughts, feelings, and/or behavior.

CBT is the modality that is at the center of all of my therapeutic relationships. We will explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. From here, we will develop additional skills and techniques to allow you to live your healthiest/happiness life.

My fiancé and I really appreciate Amy's direct communication style and her curiosity. Amy cultivate an environment that does not feel shameful and breaks down barriers of defense. We look forward to future sessions under her guidance.
