I’ve been a somatic trauma therapist* for over 17 years. I believe healing can only happen interpersonally. I’ve worked mostly with the LGBTQ+ community, but straights are welcome. ;) You will likely laugh as much as you cry, I’m hella clear with boundaries, I encourage shared online meals, and I’ll typically remind you of what’s happening astrologically (from what I’ve gleaned from the experts). * a somatic what? Think talk therapy that doesn’t ignore your body. How so? -help release effects of systemic trauma -rewire neural pathways to create positive subconscious programming -release effects of pandemic isolation and retrain body/mind to access deeper forms of trust/intimacy -developing awareness and connection to your full authentic self

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We start with what you need help with in the here and now. I believe it can cause harm to dive into your life history too soon. We work at connecting, resourcing, and helping you get necessary tools/awareness to make your present life more manageable to start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’m a love warrior. I’m funny and direct. I believe the best work is done when we allow to bring our full selves. I engage in generative conflict, repair, and interdependent accountability.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My approach allows for all parts of the self (especially ones that are unwelcome in most spaces—rage, shame, fear, scarcity, and guilt) to be released, witnessed, and integrated/transitioned into a sense of liberated, authentic wholeness Explore full authentic self expression including gender expression, external movement, aesthetics, and internal identity: values, beliefs) Release body shame (from verbal/physical/societal harm) Individual and collective sessions

She was so welcoming and made me feel entirely comfortable and accepted. I didn't feel judged for a second—just pure kindness and warmth."

I've only had one session with Karen so far, but I'm really excited to continue working with her! Just for my first session alone we've already been able to set the groundwork for myself healing and repair and I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes.

What a great fit! I am grateful to have found K and felt seen and heard from the jump. I am excited to explore together and find the spaces for healing and hope I long to find.
