Hello, my name is Denise Wray. I have been a counselor/ consultant/facilitator for the past 30 years. After my military service I began my practice doing child and adolescent counseling and parent education. Soon thereafter I became licensed in couples counseling. This led to my performing family therapy as well. In the next few years, I became certified in addictions. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities.
During the first session, I want to put the client at ease and share who I am and how the clinical process works.
I’m a unique provider because I don’t use a cookie cutter approach. I use the methodology that suits the needs of the client.
My ideal client is anyone who wants to work on having a better life. The ideal client is willing to commit to the wholistic therapy process. The ideal client demonstrates a desire to change and therefore is trusting the clinical experience. The ideal client is brave enough to share at their level of comfortability especially when difficult topics present themselves.
