About me

Hi there! My name is Lauren, and I'm glad you're here. I am a licensed mental health counselor from Massachusetts. I work with adolescents and young adults who are struggling to find their voice. We go through big changes throughout our lives and that can be scary. I strive to create a space where individuals can explore who they are and build their self-confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a great opportunity to get to know each other. We'll spend this time getting to know what's going on that's causing you to seek therapy and what your goals are. Our therapeutic relationship is imperative for success, so this is also an opportunity to ensure we're the right fit. During the first few sessions, we'll explore your goals and begin to work on practical strategies for coping.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I create a warm, nonjudgmental space for individuals to explore themselves and get to the root of their struggles. I can offer guidance and strategies for coping while also giving you the freedom to discover yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with people who are in transitional phases of their lives. Maybe you've just graduated high school or moved out for the first time. Perhaps you're moving on from a breakup. I love helping people discover who they are and who they want to become. I am also polyamory-affirmative and enjoy helping folks navigate the emotional challenges that come with starting a non-monogamous journey.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Throughout my experience in the field, I have found that having an eclectic approach to treatment allows for individuality. I believe in tailoring my treatment to the individual, which may mean combining many different modalities. I mix cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) concepts, and bring a strength-based approach to my sessions.
