I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support is a meaningful first step, and I’m honored to be part of that journey with you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported from the very beginning. I work with adults and teens who are navigating anxiety, grief, life changes, and relationship challenges... or just feeling stuck. My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative — we’ll work together at your pace, using practical tools and genuine connection to help you move toward the life you want. If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d love to connect and see how we can work together.
In our sessions, I communicate with warmth, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach, keeping our conversations supportive but focused on real progress. I strive to create a safe, calming space where you feel truly heard. I work closely with clients to set meaningful, realistic goals that reflect what’s most important to them. We collaborate to break larger goals into manageable steps, so progress feels achievable and empowering. As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. We can adapt our plan at any time to ensure it’s always meaningful and relevant to you. I’m here to provide the support, guidance, and practical tools you need to keep moving toward where you want to be, even when things feel challenging. Together, we’ll explore your feelings, identify patterns, and practice practical skills you can use every day. Along the way, I will be encouraging and motivating so you can feel empowered as you grow at your own pace.
I use an eclectic approach, pulling from different methods like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, brainspotting, and solution-focused techniques, to name a few. This flexibility allows me to tailor each session to what you need most in the moment—whether that’s learning a new coping skill, exploring emotions more deeply, or finding small, realistic ways to move toward your goals. Together, we’ll work to build insight, develop tools that actually work for you, and create meaningful change over time. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support and guidance as you discover your own strengths.
I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or in the middle of a life transition—whether that’s the end of a relationship, grief and loss, career shift, or personal crossroads. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma or relationship challenges, and finding yourself overthinking, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re going through, build tools to cope more effectively, and help you feel more grounded, clear, and connected in your life and relationships.

Using this framework helps my client's understand how early relationships influence emotions, behavior, and connection with others. Overall, I use attachment-based treatment to help clients heal relational wounds, develop secure connections, and build a stronger sense of self.
Brainspotting is a brain and body-based therapeutic approach used to process trauma, emotional distress, and stored experiences that traditional talk therapy may not fully reach. Brainspotting is used to help clients move beyond surface-level coping and access deeper healing, especially when trauma, anxiety, or stuck patterns are rooted in the body and nervous system.
I use CBT to help clients understand how their thinking patterns influence their emotions and actions, and to develop practical tools that support healthier responses and lasting improvement. Clients learn to identify automatic thoughts and belief patterns that impact how they feel and respond in daily situations. We evaluate the accuracy of thoughts and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. We will practice strategies such as problem-solving, relaxation techniques, behavioral activation, and gradual exposure to reduce avoidance.
From this approach, we focus on cultivating present-moment awareness, self-compassion, and nonjudgmental acceptance of thoughts and emotions. Using mindfulness in counseling includes supporting my clients in managing stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional reactivity through awareness and intentional practice.
I use the Gottman Method to help couples improve communication, manage conflict, rebuild connection, and strengthen their relationship. Together, we identify unhealthy patterns, develop practical tools for navigating disagreements, and learn to communicate needs with greater understanding and compassion. My goal is to help couples feel heard, understood, and more connected while building a stronger foundation of trust, friendship, and emotional intimacy. Whether you are struggling with ongoing conflict or simply want to strengthen your relationship, couples counseling can provide a supportive space to create meaningful, lasting change.

So, this was only my first visit, more a meet and greet. I did however feel very comfortable talking with her and felt listened to. I am very nervous in taking this step to gain control over my mental health but today I felt like I could be honest and not sugarcoat my answers, I felt safe. Can't wait to see how this goes.

My past trauma has brought me to therapy. I have tried numerous times in the past to connect to a therapist without success. During our talk today it felt like talking with a friend. I 'm ready to put trust in my therapist and I feel Amber could be good fit. She assured me she will provide me coping skills so we can uncover all the wounds and begin healing instead of just surviving. There aren't many therapists that list sexual abuse as their strength. I have confidence in it this time.
