Asking for help can be uncomfortable, awkward, or even bring in some anxiety. That is absolutely okay. One could even say that is normal. However, some of the hardest feelings and conversations that we need to work through are the most important ones. Throughout my experience, I have provided services to individuals from different backgrounds, experiences, or struggles like being a new mom or victims/ offenders of violence. If you feel that you have experienced trauma (past or present), managing day to day needs, coping skills, conflicts, relationships, and life transitions. My flexibility in using different therapy of techniques (such as EMDR and traditional talk therapy) has been helpful. In addition, I have connections with a number of other providers; if I am not a fit for you or if someone you know is interested in services, I am happy to help connect you. In addition to therapy services, I am able to provide expert witness services/testimony for domestic violence cases in Wisconsin.
During our first session, you can expect this time will be spent learning about you, your experiences, what works well, what does not work well, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I view this first session as an opportunity to not only to learn about you, but to understand what your short term and long-term needs are. As therapy can be intimidating, my hope is you find quickly you are in a comfortable and supportive environment with me.
I center my practice on the social work ethical value-Dignity and Worth of a Person. Needs vary from person to person, therefore sessions are focused on what your individual needs are in that moment or in future moments. Everyone deserves to have the opportunity to express their needs, concerns, and feelings in a non-judgmental environment. I am proud to be able to provide this. Since therapy needs can happen at any time, I offer sessions during the day, later afternoon, and on Saturdays as well.
If you feel you struggling with coping with life’s day to day stressors, relationships, feeling lost or unsure how to move forward? Maybe you are afraid that someone will judge you for your choices. You are not alone nor do you need to stay in this stage. It doesn't matter your age or how long you have felt like this. I would love to connect and explore what avenues would work best for you to feel more confident and overall, develop a better version of you. I understand that work or life may conflict with scheduling at times, therefore I offer appointments at varied times and days such as early morning, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.

Everyone responds to trauma differently, sessions will be tailored to your needs.
Sometimes therapy isn’t needed for long term, can work together on one specific concern.
