Hello, I'm Amanda. For over 20 years I've walked alongside people through every kind of mental health journey—from crisis moments in psychiatric hospitals to steady, hopeful growth in outpatient settings. My favorite thing is helping adults rediscover their strength, heal old wounds, and build lives that feel lighter and more joyful. I bring a calm, creative, down-to-earth energy to every conversation. I'm also a mom, grandma, and wife—balancing real life just like you do. Those experiences help me truly connect with people from every background and walk of life.
in our first session, we will review demographic information and discuss what brought you into therapy. I will ask some questions about your life and history to get a better idea of how I can help you reach your personal goals. We will discuss what those goals for therapy will look like and the strategies we will use to get you there. Together we’ll work at your pace, using practical tools (CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused strategies and more) to quiet the unhelpful thoughts, build better coping skills, and create real, lasting change.
I believe you are the expert on your own life—I’m just here to offer a fresh perspective, gentle guidance, and a safe space where you’re never judged. I meet you where you are at and use my years of experience to help you change your life in a way that is most meaningful to you.
I have over 20 years of working with individuals between 18 and 65 who are struggling with anxiety, depression, communication, anger, relationship challenges, trauma, transitions and life balance. The ideal client would be ones willing to explore their thoughts and core beliefs and how this impacts behaviors and individuals open to alternative companion therapy such as mindfulness, meditation, forest bathing, etc.

I thought I knew exactly what specifically I wanted to discuss but at some point in our conversation something was “triggered” that had me in tears and soon we realized that the issues that had not been discussed until this point were the issues we should focus on at the next session. I felt perfectly comfortable with Amanda almost immediately I would say that over the many years with many different professionals I have NEVER felt at ease so quickly with anyone So I am very pleased and relieved
