My name is Susan Greer and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work adults and adolescents around issues including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I strive to provide a supportive environment in which I can work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. My office is located in downtown Carrollton, Georgia and I see clients both in-person and virtually.
I never want to pressure my clients to discuss anything before they are ready so our first session will be more of an opportunity to get to know one another and determine if we are a good match from a therapeutic standpoint. My goal is to put clients at ease so they feel they are in a safe and nurturing environment in which they can share things that are often difficult and deeply personal.
I want to meet my clients where they are and determine through our work together how best I can support them. If a client needs someone to simply be present and hold space for them as they process their issues, I will take this approach. However, some clients prefer to be challenged and I feel I am good at asking "the tough questions" when a client gets stuck in their processing and needs help getting to the root cause of their issues.
My ideal client is any adult or adolescent who is ready to put in the work to face the issues that have brought them to therapy and to use the tools I help provide to reach their therapeutic goals. I feel that I am a great "cheerleader" for my clients and am ready to be of support to clients who are ready to get honest about their issues and who want to overcome them and improve their own well-being.
