I'm Mark, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a fully telehealth practice serving clients in Arizona and Ohio. Authenticity is the cornerstone of how I practice — I believe that being real, genuine, and vulnerable is essential to any healthy relationship, including the one you have with yourself. My work spans ADHD, Autism, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, and trauma, alongside specialized experience in sex therapy, gender dysphoria, sexual addiction, infidelity, and couples counseling. I'm a sex-positive provider and an ally to the kink, polyamorous, and LGBTQ+ communities.
In our first session, my goal is simple: no judgment, no right or wrong way to show up, and no lane you need to stay in. We'll talk through what's bringing you to therapy, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping will feel different. I'll ask about your background and any specialty areas relevant to your situation so I can understand the full picture of who you are, not just the presenting problem. Think of it as a conversation to see if we're a good fit, and to start mapping out where we go from here.
I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches: ACT, CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Spiritually-Integrated Therapy and tailor the mix to what actually works for you, rather than fitting you into one model. As someone who lives with AUADHD and CPTSD myself, I understand the therapeutic process from the inside as well as the outside, and my approach is deeply grounded in what actually works not just in theory, but in practice. That means the tools and structure we use together are customized to fit how your mind and needs actually operate, not a one-size-fits-all template. My background working with diverse populations, including refugees, individuals with severe mental illness, and the LGBTQ+ community, has shaped a practice that's genuinely affirming rather than performatively so. I aim for the "Aha!" moment that point where things click and real change becomes possible and I bring both clinical rigor and a grounded results oriented mindset.
My ideal client is someone who's ready to show up authentically, even if that feels uncomfortable at first. Someone tired of judging themselves and ready to stop suffering in silence. You might be navigating neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, or trauma, or working through relationship dynamics like unhealthy family dynamics, toxic romantic connections, or the complexities of non-traditional relationship structures. You could be exploring questions around gender, sexuality, or kink and want a provider who won't blink or moralize — just meet you where you are. Clients who've felt dismissed or pathologized elsewhere often find this a place where they can finally exhale. You don't need to have it all figured out just a willingness to do the work and a hope that things can feel different, even if you're not sure yet what that looks like.
