As a licensed therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes. My practice centers on helping clients address challenges like depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. I bring a compassionate, culturally informed approach to therapy, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My work focuses on helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and collaborative space where each person feels respected, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals. I obtained a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, demonstrating applied knowledge of mental health principles and practices. I'm the kind of person who celebrates the little win, because that's often where the biggest growth begins.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment during their first session. My goal is to create a space where they feel comfortable sharing their experiences, concerns, and goals at their own pace. During our initial meeting, we will discuss what brings them to therapy, explore relevant personal history, identify strengths and challenges, and begin clarifying what they hope to achieve through the therapeutic process. Together, we will establish meaningful goals that align with their unique needs and values. I strive to foster a collaborative relationship built on trust, cultural humility, authenticity, and respect. By the end of the first session, clients can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapy process and feel supported in taking the next steps toward growth, healing, and overall well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic work emphasizes self-love, effective communication, and healing from experiences of isolation, shame, and personal struggle. I understand the intricate ways life changes and interpersonal dynamics can impact mental wellness. Drawing from evidence-based practices, I create a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, develop resilience, and reconnect with their inherent strengths. I am deeply committed to walking alongside my clients as they rediscover their sense of purpose, build healthier relationships, and cultivate greater self-understanding. My approach is rooted in respect, empathy, and a genuine belief in each person's capacity for healing and transformation

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with women who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, or challenges related to self-esteem and personal growth. I also work with children facing emotional, behavioral, social, or developmental difficulties, helping them build coping skills, emotional awareness, and resilience in a supportive environment. I value working collaboratively with clients and families who are open to self-exploration, growth, and developing practical tools for managing life’s stressors. Whether a client is seeking healing from past experiences, support through a current challenge, or guidance in reaching personal goals, I strive to create a safe, culturally responsive, and compassionate space where they feel heard, empowered, and supported.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma-related concerns, life transitions, and personal growth challenges. I help clients recognize patterns of thinking that may be keeping them stuck, build healthier coping skills, and develop greater self-awareness and confidence. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences, empowering them to make positive changes both inside and outside of therapy.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase self-awareness, practice mindfulness, and respond to challenges with greater flexibility and self-compassion. By focusing on personal values and committed action, I support clients in creating meaningful change while learning to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions more effectively.

Psychodynamic

I incorporate psychodynamic principles into therapy to help clients gain insight into how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe that increasing self-awareness can be a powerful step toward creating meaningful and lasting change. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique experiences. Together, we explore recurring patterns, attachment styles, family dynamics, and emotional experiences that may contribute to current challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or unresolved trauma. While understanding the past is valuable, I also focus on helping clients apply these insights to develop healthier coping strategies and improve their present-day functioning.

Humanistic

My approach to therapy is grounded in humanistic principles, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and healing when provided with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. My role is to collaborate with clients, helping them develop greater self-awareness, strengthen their sense of self, and identify their own values and goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is an important part of my therapeutic approach, helping clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. I incorporate mindfulness techniques to help individuals slow down, become more present, and respond to life's challenges with intention rather than reacting automatically.
