In our first session, I like to get to know the client and let them get to know me and ask as many questions as they want. I am good at explaining the therapy process and how long it is projected to take (with my approach it is usually 3-6 months). I never put pressure on clients and allow them to take time after the first session to decide if they feel they would benefit from future sessions with me.
Anxiety is by far my greatest strength...but I have helped clients with many issues over the past 15+ years. I have helped 1,000s of people through my program and also do assemblies for schools and talks for businesses on managing anxiety. I dealt with anxiety in my early 20s to the point I could not leave the house without overwhelming anxiety and panic attacks. I can identify with many of the thoughts and symptoms that people go through. I have led small group recovery programs with much success.
