I work with individuals and couples who are tired of having the same conversations and somehow ending up right back where they started. Whether it’s anxiety, stress, or relationship patterns that keep repeating, something isn’t working—and at this point, that’s pretty clear. My approach is direct, collaborative, and focused on actually changing what’s not working. I’m not going to just sit there nodding while you vent and then ask how that made you feel for the tenth time. We’ll figure out what’s keeping you stuck and start doing something different about it. Therapy with me is honest, practical, and yes—sometimes a little blunt. But it’s also real. If you’re looking for something that actually helps you move forward (not just talk about why you’re stuck), we’ll probably be a good fit.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is pretty simple. You tell me what’s been going on, what’s not working, and what you want to be different. I’ll ask questions, but it’s not an interrogation and there’s no right way to do this—you don’t need to come in with a perfect explanation of your life. I’m going to be active in the session. You’re not just talking at me while I nod. I’ll start pointing out patterns pretty quickly and we’ll figure out what’s actually keeping you stuck. Most people leave with at least one thing to try that they haven’t already tried. My goal is to help you start doing something different so you’re not stuck in the same patterns. If you’re coming in as a couple, we’re not going to spend the whole time deciding who’s right. We’ll look at how the two of you are getting pulled into the same cycle and start figuring out how to change it.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths is being direct. I’ll help you identify what’s holding you back and be direct about it—without making you feel judged or shamed. I’m also good at helping people feel comfortable pretty quickly. You won’t feel like you’re being analyzed or talked down to—we’ll just have real conversations about what’s going on. I’ve seen these patterns enough to spot them pretty quickly, and once we do, we don’t just talk about them—we figure out what to do differently. I’ll be real with you, but it won’t feel like you’re getting called out every five minutes. You’ll feel understood, and you’ll also leave with something you can actually use instead of wondering what the point of the session was.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break—whether that’s ongoing conflict, communication breakdowns, or feeling disconnected in their relationship. I also have extensive experience working with clients navigating separation and divorce, helping them manage the emotional and practical challenges that come with it. Many of the clients I work with are dealing with anxiety, stress, or major life transitions and want more than just a place to vent—they’re looking to actually change what’s not working. I tend to connect well with people who are open to being honest about what’s not working and willing to try something different, even if they’ve felt stuck for a while.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that are keeping them stuck. The focus is on building awareness and making practical shifts that improve how you think, feel, and respond in your day-to-day life. This isn’t about overanalyzing—it’s about creating change you can actually notice.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I take a person-centered approach by creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and not judged. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach—therapy is tailored to you, your situation, and what’s actually going to help. From there, we focus on what’s working, what’s not, and what can realistically change.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I specialize in working with couples who feel stuck in the same arguments or patterns. My approach is direct and focused on helping both partners understand what’s really happening underneath the conflict—and what to actually do differently. We don’t just talk about problems, we work toward clear, actionable changes so the relationship starts improving in real time.

Gottman method

I use Gottman-informed techniques to help couples improve communication, reduce conflict, and better understand each other’s patterns. We focus on breaking negative cycles, strengthening connection, and building tools you can actually use outside of session.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I take a solution-focused approach where the goal is simple: you leave the first session with at least one concrete thing you can try that you haven’t already tried. We’re not just talking about the problem—we’re identifying what might actually move things forward and putting it into action right away.
