About me

I have extensive experience supporting individuals through grief and loss, chronic illness, anticipatory grief, and the pain of relationship loss. I have worked closely with clients facing terminal diagnoses, helping them and their loved ones process anticipatory grief and find meaning in the midst of uncertainty. I’ve also supported individuals coping with the chronic stress and emotional toll of long-term illness, both personally and within their families. This includes working with caregivers experiencing fatigue and burnout—collaboratively creating self-care plans that allow them to continue caring for others while preserving their own well-being. In cases of relational loss—whether through death, separation, or emotional disconnection—I guide clients in honoring what was, grieving what is lost, and gently moving toward healing and redefinition. I work with anyone who has experienced a traumatic loss, specializing in those who have lost a loved one to suicide, and can utilize my training in EMDR to assist clients with symptoms related to traumatic deaths of loved ones.

My treatment methods

Narrative

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 11 years experience working in grief and loss. I am a therapist who uses a Narrative Theoretical Framework, which means that my clients and I can work together to sort through their life's losses and challenges, and I can support my clients in identifying what they need in this chapter of their lives and strategize with them how to achieve their goals. I want to help my client write the next chapter of their lives and I want them to feel confident in the paths they have chosen.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is helpful in grief and loss to reframe negative cognitions about our selves and the ones we have lost, or the way we cared for them in their illness.

Grief Therapy

I am a licensed clinical social worker with ten years experience working in grief and loss. I am a therapist who uses a Narrative Theoretical Framework, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and EMDR to assist my clients with grief and loss including traumatic deaths.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is helpful in working with clients who have experienced grief and loss to assist them in finding direction for the next chapter of their lives without their loved one.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Therapy can be helpful in grief and loss for issues related to returning to work, addressing issues related to their loved one who died, repairing relationships and finding support in grief.
